This one's all from the 2023 San Francisco Pride Parade a couple months ago (I organize my archive by processing date to keep things simple). It was supposed to be one of two rolls, but I somehow managed to lose the other one after getting it home. Hopefully I'll be able to follow this up with the Part 2 someday.

It was also my first try at bringing the 1N RS to a "serious event" sort of thing where I needed a camera that would stay out of my way as much as possible, since most of these shots were one-try-only, and my goodness did it deliver. Absolutely pinpoint focus and exposure on everything. Still had a couple bad shots but they were only because I failed to point the camera at anything worth having a picture of.

If I remember correctly, most of the time I was shooting on aperture-priority and wide open, a strategy that really paid off in terms of fine detail on moving subjects. I believe I was usually seeing shutter speeds in the four-digit range, another advantage of the 1N RS (which, like modern Canon DSLRs, uses a metal vertical-travel shutter that tops out at 1/8000s and X-syncs at 1/250). Most of the shots were taken through a red filter to increase contrast.
